Combat Pistol ($250) Intermediate (Certificate awarded upon sucessfull completion)

The Combat Pistol Course is designed to give the student a set of solid handgun fundamentals and last resort combatives. Every course instructed at Sierra Element starts with the proper mindset. The course concentrates on the 7 elements of marksmanship, balancing speed and accuracy under stress.  This course will challenge shooters of all levels as we cover techniques that are currently being used in US and Foreign Law Enforcement/Military units.  THIS COURSE IS PHYSICALLY DEMANDING. ALL STUDENTS MUST BE IN THE PHYSICAL CONDITION TO BE  ABLE TO RUN AND STRIKE.   

Instruction covered but not limited to:

• Weapon retention
• Post shooting articulation
• Verbal communication
• Team drills
• Defensive measures for home
• Counter terror shooting drills
• Using a vehicle for cover
• Last resort combatives
• Alternate shooting positions
• Running drills
• Multi-threat engagements

Equipment Needed:

• Pistol at least 9mm in caliber.
• Magazine pouch
• Three magazines
• Nylon or leather belt that fits through your pants belt loop
• Eye and ear protection
• Pistol cleaning gear/lube
• 400 rounds of factory ammunition
• Baseball hat or boonie style cover
• Water and snacks
• BDU style pants (NO shorts please)
